The Schola Cantorum sings fortnightly at the 9.00am mass at St Pancras Catholic Church, Lewes. We are an adult chamber choir (normally around 12 singers) whose repertoire focuses mainly on early polyphonic sacred music.

We are offering tenor and bass Choral Scholarships for the academic year 2017 – 2018. The scholarships are offered to undergraduate and postgraduate students, students on a gap year, or sixth form students.

Choral scholars are expected to attend a fortnightly rehearsal (Friday 6.00 – 7.30pm), and a fortnightly Sunday service at 9.00am (plus short rehearsal before and after) in term time. There are also usually two or three concerts per year. The scholarships have a degree of flexibility, designed to suit the university term, and are worth £500 per academic year.

To apply for a scholarship, please email your CV and covering letter to Father Jonathan Martin at parochus.lewes@gmail.com.
